Finalists for the Danuta Gleed Literary Award, which honors the best first collection of short fiction, have been named by the Writers' Union of Canada. CBC News reported that the shortlist includes:

Wax Boats by Sarah Roberts --Winner!
Overqualified by Joey Comeau
The winner will be announced June 5 at the organization's annual general meeting in Ottawa.
